US SIF: The Sustainable Investment Forum has named Jennifer Coombs as its new Head of Content and Development, bringing over fifteen years of financial services expertise to the organization. Coombs will leverage her extensive background in sustainable investing to develop educational resources and support the organization's mission of advancing responsible investment strategies.
With a history of engagement in the sustainable investing community, Coombs has been instrumental in developing the Chartered SRI Counselor (CSRIC) designation program. Since 2018, over 1,400 professionals have enrolled in the program, with more than 1,000 active designation holders, demonstrating her significant impact on financial professional education.
Prior to joining US SIF, Coombs served as the director of client success for Ethos ESG and has received notable recognition, including being named on Investment News' 40 Under 40 list in 2023 and receiving the College for Financial Planning's Faculty of the Year award in 2022.
CEO Maria Lettini highlighted Coombs' potential to create comprehensive content that will support wealth managers, advisors, financial planning associations, and academics in understanding sustainable investing. Her expertise is expected to help broaden and deepen skills in this evolving financial sector.
Coombs holds a Master of Science in Finance from The College for Financial Planning and a bachelor's degree in Financial Analysis and Political Science from Clarkson University. She continues to contribute to the field as an adjunct professor and has been a two-time TEDx speaker.
Her appointment comes at a critical time as US SIF, representing members with $5 trillion in assets under management, continues to push for investment practices that prioritize sustainability, long-term impact, and societal resilience.
