Verizon announced on July 22 that customers can now preorder Samsung's latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, through its Simplicity Plan and My Biz Plan. The move is part of Verizon's strategy to simplify mobile plans while offering the latest technology, aiming to reduce carrier friction and give customers more control over their service.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 starts at $1,899.99 and is available in Lavender, Graphite, and Cream, while the Z Fold8 Ultra starts at $2,099.99 in Violet Shadow, Graphite, and Cream. Both devices feature a spacious, immersive screen designed for high-performance productivity and multitasking. Alongside the phones, Verizon is also offering the Galaxy Watch9 starting at $429.99 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 starting at $699.99.
The key appeal of Verizon's offers lies in its Simplicity Plan, which eliminates network tiers and provides unlimited data with restrictions to on-device smartphone usage. New customers can get the Galaxy Z Fold8 (256GB) for $30 a month over 48 months with a new line on the Simplicity Plan, no trade-in required. This is achieved through a $460 promotional credit applied monthly, reducing the device payment from the retail price. To qualify, customers must sign up for Auto Pay and paper-free billing and switch their number from another carrier within 45 days, saving $25 per month total.
For the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, new customers can receive $420 in promotional credits over 48 months, lowering the monthly device payment to $35. Existing customers can upgrade and save up to $1,100 by trading in an eligible phone and switching to an Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan. Trade-in credits are applied over 36 months.
Verizon also introduced the Ultimate Bundle: customers who buy a new Samsung phone on a payment plan or bring their own Samsung phone with a new line can get a new Galaxy Watch9 and a Galaxy Tab S10 FE at no additional cost, paying only for the service lines starting at $15 a month with Auto Pay. The carrier covers up to $650 per device in promotional credits over 36 months.
For those bringing their own Android phone, Verizon offers a Galaxy Watch9 for free or the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 for as low as $8 a month, with $430 in promotional credits applied over 36 months. Additionally, customers can save up to 30% on accessories when bundled together.
Verizon is also enhancing the value proposition with entertainment perks. Customers who purchase a qualifying Galaxy Z Fold8 or Z Fold8 Ultra can get the Disney+, Hulu, & ESPN+ (With Ads) Perk for six months on us (then $10/mo) with the Simplicity Plan or myPlan. The company's new loyalty program, accessible via the My Verizon app, offers cash back in Verizon Dollars each month, along with daily surprises and the elimination of upgrade and activation fees. Through Verizon Shine, customers can enter weekly for chances to win experiences and daily prizes.
Preorders are available starting July 22 at Verizon stores, verizon.com, and the My Verizon app, with full retail availability on August 7. Business customers can also save up to $900 on the Galaxy Z8 series with a qualifying trade-in and a new line or upgrade on the My Biz Plan. These offers underscore Verizon's push to attract and retain customers by bundling high-end devices with simplified, value-driven plans.
