Kinetic Dance Force (KDF), a dance studio based in Winter Springs, Florida, has advanced to the final round of the StarQuest Dance Competition's Viral Video of the Year contest. The studio is calling on the Central Florida community to support its young dancers by voting for their routine, "Rosie the Riveter," from Monday, June 22 through Sunday, June 28, 2026.
KDF earned its place in the finale after winning a weekly Viral Video of the Weekend title. The studio now competes against other weekly winners from across the country. The nominated routine, "Rosie the Riveter," celebrates strength, resilience and female empowerment, performed by dancers aged five to eight years old.
"This dance is about showing our dancers that they are strong, capable, and can accomplish anything they set their minds to," said KDF Owner and Artistic Director Kimmie Gehr, a Sanford native and former Radio City Rockette. "We're incredibly proud of the hard work they put into this performance, and we're hoping our community will help support them in this final round of voting."
The grand prize includes a StarQuest gift certificate for the studio to apply toward the upcoming 2027 dance season and a Dream Duffel Elite Backpack for every dancer in the routine. Voting is open now, and community members can watch the performance and vote at kdanceforce.com/rosie.
Kinetic Dance Force serves recreational and competitive dancers of all ages across Seminole County and Central Florida. The studio focuses on developing technique, confidence and artistry in a positive, encouraging environment through weekly classes, competitive programs and community performances.
The outcome of this contest could provide significant resources for the studio and its dancers, as well as recognition for the local dance community. A national title would highlight the talent and hard work of these young performers and their instructors, potentially drawing more attention to the arts in Central Florida.
