Two New England co-authors have released their third true paranormal book in the 'Haunting Of' series, titled 'Haunting of Wilson Castle,' which published on June 1, 2026, and has already achieved number one status on Amazon. The book details a paranormal investigation at Wilson Castle, a 19th-century architectural masterpiece in Vermont's Green Mountains, where the team uncovered a 100-year-old secret tryst.
Rob Gutro, a renowned pet medium and paranormal investigator, joined Monique Toosoon, New England's paranormal drag queen and para-technology wizard, to conduct a five-hour public investigation. They were assisted by medium Lexi Duquette and The Digital Séance Experience. The team explored the well-known haunted castle and uncovered a family secret, a man with a darker side, a child seeking truth, and other ghosts as they worked to bring a happy haunted reunion.
'We had amazing communications with Elliot and Sarah's ghosts and might've even uncovered a secret castle love affair,' Monique said. 'But things took a darker turn after midnight when an ominous male presence made himself known… and let's not forget the elemental energy that stirred.' The investigation was born from an idea Monique had and discussed with Denise Davine, the owner/operator of Wilson Castle, who approved.
Gutro, who communicated with all of the ghosts, said, 'Learning the personal emotional stories of the ghosts we encountered, and assembling the puzzle together with mediums and technology was amazing.' The book is the latest in the 'Haunting Of' series, which features true paranormal investigations conducted by Gutro and Toosoon with other professionals.
Gutro, also a scientist, explains the paranormal using the science of energy, distinguishing between earthbound entities (ghosts) and those who crossed over (spirits). Monique Toosoon acts as a trigger object for paranormal activity and has a sensitivity to earthbound ghosts, versed in the latest paranormal technologies, which are explained in the books. Each book provides a history of the location with photographs and sketches Gutro makes of ghosts he connects with, allowing readers to experience the investigation vicariously.
