Wytec International has secured a significant multi-state government contract through the TXShare Cooperative Purchasing Program, positioning its advanced AI gunshot detection technology for widespread implementation across numerous public sector organizations.
The Master Services Agreement will make Wytec's smart sensor technology available to more than 170 US cities, 50 counties, and over 40 special districts, including transit authorities, water utility boards, police departments, school districts, and hospitals. The technology leverages sophisticated embedded AI and machine learning algorithms that have demonstrated exceptional accuracy in detecting gunshots.
During extensive laboratory testing, Wytec's system achieved a 94% true positive and 95% true negative accuracy rate, representing one of the most precise gunshot detection systems currently available. The technology is supported by global patents and utilizes advanced wireless connectivity and cloud management solutions.
To develop this comprehensive solution, Wytec has partnered with Trabus Technologies, a minority-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned business specializing in AI and wireless technologies, and Lemko Corporation, which provides robust mobile edge network infrastructure. These partnerships enable Wytec to offer a sophisticated, secure wireless backbone for its gunshot detection systems.
The contract represents a significant opportunity for Wytec to expand its public safety technology footprint, with the company offering a no-cost Proof of Concept demonstration to select TXShare members. This strategic move could potentially revolutionize municipal safety protocols by providing real-time, highly accurate gunshot detection capabilities across diverse institutional environments.
