Amesite Secures Major Community College Deal and Expands AI Support to Healthcare Sector

Education is undergoing significant transformation through artificial intelligence (AI), with companies like Amesite (NASDAQ: AMST) at the forefront. The Detroit-based AI software company develops products and platforms to enhance online learning, leveraging GPT-4 for quick course additions and adaptable programs that keep users engaged.

Amesite has captured attention from educators, particularly within community colleges. Maricopa Corporate College (MCOR), a part of Arizona’s largest workforce developer, the Maricopa Community College District (MCCCD), recently signed a multiyear agreement with Amesite. This deal marks the company's largest customer to date and underscores MCCCD’s role in shaping the future of the Greater Phoenix region.

Amesite’s focus on community colleges now includes seven institutions across the United States, collectively training over 200,000 learners annually. The AI-powered solution aims to provide real-time information and support to professional learners, replacing traditional training methods with more efficient AI-assisted training.

Dr. Ann Marie Sastry, CEO of Amesite, emphasized the importance of AI in professional training, stating, “We have long believed that AI-assisted professional training would replace traditional training and are pleased to see our solutions gaining acceptance, now with larger colleges.”

Amesite’s latest platform version, V6, integrates thousands of application programming interfaces (APIs), supporting educational games, interactive learning experiences, and other incentives to maintain student engagement. This platform is part of Amesite’s vision to create a larger learning community rather than isolated silos.

Beyond education, Amesite is leveraging its AI capabilities to support healthcare professionals, particularly the 5.2 million nurses in the U.S. The company launched NurseMagic™, an AI app designed to streamline tasks for nurses, such as writing nursing notes, translating medical terms, and creating work emails. This technology addresses the high burnout rates and projected shortages in the nursing profession, potentially saving hospitals significant costs.

The NurseMagic app also offers tools for resume building, job applications, and improving social media profiles, aiming to assist the 35% of nurses considering a job change within the next year. The app's ability to create nursing notes, a task that occupies up to 40% of a nurse’s time, highlights its potential for efficiency.

Since its beta release in June, NurseMagic has seen rapid growth, with user registration expanding by 830% month-over-month from June to July. The app's foundational model achieved a 93% accuracy rate on questions from leading NCLEX prep providers, ensuring reliability for its users.
