Artemis Adolescent Healing Center in Arizona has expanded its services to provide critical mental health and substance use treatment for teenagers, addressing a growing national need for specialized adolescent behavioral health support. The new programs offer comprehensive, trauma-informed care for teens aged 13-17 struggling with complex emotional and psychological challenges.
The center's expanded services include two specialized treatment programs: a Teen Dual Diagnosis Treatment Program and a Teen Depression Treatment Program. These initiatives integrate mental health and substance use recovery through evidence-based approaches such as individual counseling, psychiatric support, family therapy, and skill-building groups.
The Teen Dual Diagnosis Treatment Program recognizes the interconnected nature of mental health and addiction during adolescence, ensuring neither condition is treated in isolation. Simultaneously, the Teen Depression Treatment Program focuses on emotional regulation, self-esteem rebuilding, and suicide prevention using therapeutic techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy.
Housed within a newly enhanced residential treatment setting, the programs provide a safe, supportive environment with holistic therapies including art, music, and mindfulness practices. The expansion responds to national data reflecting increased mental health demands and limited access to specialized youth behavioral health services.
By offering these targeted interventions, Artemis Adolescent Healing Center aims to provide a critical lifeline for families facing adolescent mental health and substance use challenges, potentially transforming young lives during vulnerable developmental periods.
