The third edition of Hong Kong Fashion Fest, running from September 1 to 14, will feature over 300 design entities and eight flagship programmes, reinforcing Hong Kong's status as Asia's fashion capital.

The third edition of Hong Kong Fashion Fest is set to take place from September 1 to 14, bringing together over 300 local and international design entities. Presented by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and spearheaded by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, the two-week event will showcase the city's exceptional appeal as Asia's fashion capital through a diverse range of fashion-themed events.

This year's festival will feature eight flagship programmes spanning haute couture, city-wide pop-up stores, cross-regional menswear, sustainable design forums, and modern denim culture. The lineup includes the opening programme "VIRTUOSE: The Artistry of Couture 2026," the citywide fashion pop-up "Wear's HK," the international fashion showcase and trade platform CENTRESTAGE, "Future Threads: Menswear's New Waves Between Italy and Hong Kong," "Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) 2026," "Hong Kong Fashion Fest Gala 2026," "Fashion Asia Hong Kong 2026," and the "5th Hong Kong Denim Festival." These events will be held across various cultural landmarks and stylish design spaces, with collaboration from six industry organisations.

The festival aims to propel the creativity and aesthetics of emerging designers from Hong Kong and abroad onto the global stage. By offering a rich lineup that covers different facets of the fashion industry, the event provides a platform for designers to showcase their work, fosters cross-sectoral collaboration, and promotes the industrialisation of the arts and culture sectors. The inclusion of sustainable design forums and discussions on modern denim culture highlights the industry's evolving focus on sustainability and innovation.

Admission to all public exhibitions at the festival will be free, allowing members of the public and fashion enthusiasts to experience the city's vibrant creativity and energy. This accessibility underscores the festival's goal of fostering a creative atmosphere in the community and reinforcing Hong Kong's positioning as the East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange.

The Hong Kong Fashion Fest also serves as a significant platform for trade and business. With events like CENTRESTAGE, which is an international fashion showcase and trade platform, the festival facilitates networking and business opportunities for designers, brands, and industry professionals. This is particularly important for the local fashion industry, as it helps to explore new markets and promote cross-regional collaborations, such as the menswear showcase between Italy and Hong Kong.

The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, which spearheads the festival, plays a crucial role in supporting the cultural and creative sectors. Established in June 2024 as a dedicated office under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, CCIDA provides one-stop services and support to nurture talent, facilitate start-ups, and promote multi-disciplinary collaboration. Its strategic foci include exploring markets, promoting industrialisation, and fostering a creative atmosphere, all of which are aligned with the objectives of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest.
