Lavras Gold Corp. Advances Exploration Strategy with Multiple High-Potential Gold Discoveries

Lavras Gold Corp. (TSX-V: LGC) is making substantial strides in gold exploration, with promising discoveries across its Brazilian portfolio that could signal a significant breakthrough in the company's development strategy. The company's exploration efforts have yielded impressive results, particularly at the Fazenda do Posto and Butiá Deposit sites, where drilling has revealed extensive gold mineralization.

The Fazenda do Posto discovery, located 150 meters west of the existing Butiá Deposit, has shown remarkable potential with drilling intercepts including 340 meters grading 1.1 g/t gold and a high-grade core of 59 meters grading 2.9 g/t gold. This discovery, potentially developing into a bulk tonnage deposit, extends to depths exceeding 400 meters.

Lavras Gold's current mineral resources are substantial, with the Butiá Deposit hosting approximately 377,000 measured and indicated gold ounces, and the Cerrito Deposit containing an additional 188,000 indicated ounces and 293,000 inferred ounces. The company's exploration strategy for 2025 includes approximately 17,000 meters of drilling across multiple sites to further expand these resources.

Financially, the company appears well-positioned, concluding 2024 with a cash balance of C$1.65 million and successfully completing a C$15.0 million equity financing in February 2025. With no long-term debt and a disciplined financial approach, Lavras Gold has the flexibility to advance its exploration targets.

The company's leadership, including CEO Michael Durose and Chairman Rolly Uloth, aims to transition from exploration to production by advancing economic and metallurgical studies towards a preliminary economic assessment. Their strategic vision, combined with the current robust gold market conditions, positions Lavras Gold to potentially attract joint venture partnerships and additional capital investments.
