LoLo Care Launches Tech-Enabled Home Care Marketplace in North Carolina's Triangle

RALEIGH, N.C. — A new home care platform has launched in North Carolina's Triangle region, aiming to disrupt the traditional agency model by offering families direct control over non-medical care for aging loved ones. LoLo Care, which debuted publicly on September 3, 2026, connects families with independent caregivers for services such as companionship, meal preparation, errands, rides, light housekeeping, and respite care. The platform eliminates agency contracts and minimum hour requirements, allowing bookings starting at just one hour, a feature that could significantly reduce costs and increase flexibility for families.

According to the company, the platform sets an hourly rate of $30, with $27 directly going to caregivers, ensuring fair compensation. Families can review detailed caregiver profiles that include experience, ratings, and background-check status, enabling them to make informed choices about who enters their homes. While same-day service is not guaranteed, LoLo Care states that most assistance can be arranged within a few hours. The platform already boasts over 300 caregivers and claims to be able to serve thousands of families in the Wake County area.

Charles Petrini-Poli, Co-Founder and CEO of LoLo Care, emphasized the platform's mission: “LoLo Care is empowering families with greater control over home care, offering flexibility and transparency at their fingertips. Our platform streamlines the home care process, enabling families to manage scheduling, updates, and payments all in one place. This ensures peace of mind while keeping everyone updated on the care being provided.”

The launch addresses a growing demographic challenge. By 2030, all Baby Boomers will be aged 65 or older, increasing the caregiving burden on families. According to AARP and the National Alliance for Caregiving, 1 in 4 adults currently acts as a caregiver. With families increasingly geographically dispersed, coordinating care can become an isolating and time-consuming task. LoLo Care's central family coordination hub allows relatives to share calendars, invite members, and review caregiver-submitted visit information, providing shared visibility after each visit. This feature relieves adult children from acting as full-time care managers, whether they live nearby or across the country.

The company contrasts its model with traditional agencies that often have rigid four-hour minimums and high overhead costs, leading to waitlists and missed visits. LoLo Care also differentiates itself from unvetted directories that leave families to do manual vetting. By providing identity-verification and background-check status on each caregiver, the platform aims to combine the convenience of technology with the safety of vetted care.

This launch marks the first step in LoLo Care's nationwide expansion, with services currently exclusive to Wake County, including Raleigh and surrounding areas. The company's mission is to make aging at home stress-free, dignifying, and transparent by giving families direct control and caregivers fair, empowering work.
