North Bay Resources CEO Jared Lazerson has announced the successful completion of flooding and operational testing of flotation cells and frothing equipment at the Bishop Gold Mill in California. The flotation cells, used alongside frothing reagents, are essential in separating gold and sulphides from the host rock, producing a gold concentrate that is subsequently dried and refined into gold bars.
Assays have confirmed the presence of 0.5 troy ounces of gold per ton of surface material. The company is set to process an initial 5,000 tons of this material, which equates to approximately 2,500 troy ounces of gold. Ongoing metallurgical analyses aim to determine the composition and make-up of the material, including the final grind and the effectiveness of the chosen frothing agent and flocculent used in the flotation process.
In addition to these developments, North Bay Resources is actively reviewing gold mine acquisitions and joint ventures across the Western US and Canada. The company remains committed to acquiring ounces in the ground to support operations at the Bishop Mill and potential future expansions.
This milestone signifies a crucial step in North Bay Resources' efforts to boost its gold production capabilities and expand its asset base within North America.
