Quantizr, a financial operations platform powered by artificial intelligence for the live entertainment industry, announced it has secured $5 million in seed funding. The round was led by TTV Capital, an early investor in Bill.com and Greenlight, with participation from music industry figures Jonathan Azu, founder of Culture Collective; Chris Kappy, founder of Make Wake Artists; and Andy Levine, founder of Sixthman and Topeka.
The company’s platform uses AI to extract financial information from business documents, organizing data into a structured, live workflow. This allows artist managers and their teams to see real-time financials while on tour, helping them understand profitability and make faster decisions. Recently, Quantizr expanded its offering with Quantizr Tour Financials (QTF), which provides a real-time view of tour finances.
The funding comes at a time when the live entertainment industry is recovering and evolving, with tours becoming more complex and costly. Artist teams often deal with fragmented offers, contracts, budgets, expenses, and settlements, making it challenging to track profitability. Quantizr aims to solve this by turning these disparate elements into a single operating view, protecting margins and enabling quicker decisions.
“We’re excited to have TTV Capital lead this round,” said a Quantizr spokesperson. “Their experience with financial technology companies will be invaluable as we scale. The participation of industry veterans like Jonathan, Chris, and Andy underscores the need for better financial tools in music.”
For artist teams, the implications are significant. With real-time financial data, they can avoid costly surprises and adjust strategies mid-tour. This could lead to more efficient tours and better profitability, which is crucial in an industry with tight margins. For the broader live entertainment sector, Quantizr’s growth signals a trend toward digitization and data-driven management, potentially reshaping how tours are financially managed.
Investors see potential beyond just tours. “Quantizr is building the financial infrastructure for live entertainment,” said a TTV Capital representative. “Their AI-driven approach can transform how the industry manages money, from small club shows to stadium tours.”
The new funds will be used to expand the platform’s capabilities and grow its user base. While the company did not disclose specific plans, it’s likely they will enhance QTF and integrate with other tools used by artist teams.
As the music industry continues to rebound, tools like Quantizr could become essential for artists and managers aiming to sustain profitable careers. The company’s focus on real-time financials aligns with the needs of a fast-paced industry where every decision counts.
