Razi Orthodontics has announced that it offers clear ceramic braces at its Naperville and Wheaton offices, giving patients in DuPage County a tooth-colored bracket treatment under the care of Dr. Kaleem Razi. The practice said the option suits older teens and adults who want fixed orthodontic treatment without the visibility of traditional metal hardware.
Clear ceramic braces use brackets made from a translucent or tooth-colored ceramic material that blends with the natural shade of the teeth. The wires and brackets work through the same mechanical principles as conventional metal braces, applying consistent pressure to shift teeth into alignment over time, but the aesthetic profile is noticeably lower.
Dr. Razi and his team offer clear braces in Wheaton, IL and Naperville at offices located at 1512 N. Naper Blvd., Suite 124, in Naperville and 2212 N. Main St. in Wheaton. Both locations serve patients across DuPage County who are looking for a fixed braces option that is less conspicuous in professional, social, and academic settings.
The treatment is particularly well suited to older teens and adults. Younger children in early treatment phases are often less concerned with the cosmetic appearance of their appliances, while adults and older adolescents frequently prefer a more discreet look, especially in workplace or classroom environments where metal braces can feel out of place.
Clear ceramic braces occupy a distinct position between traditional metal braces and removable clear aligners like Invisalign. Unlike metal braces, ceramic brackets do not create the same degree of visual contrast against tooth enamel, making the overall appliance far less noticeable during everyday conversation or in photographs. Compared with Invisalign, ceramic braces are fixed to the teeth, so patients do not need to remember to wear them for a set number of hours each day, and there is no risk of misplacing a set of aligners. For cases that call for precise, continuous tooth movement managed directly by the orthodontist, fixed ceramic braces give Dr. Razi full control over the treatment mechanics throughout the process.
The tradeoff is that ceramic brackets require some additional care. Because the ceramic material is more porous than metal, it can be more susceptible to staining from certain foods and beverages, particularly coffee, tea, red wine, and heavily pigmented foods. Patients are generally advised to rinse or brush after consuming these items and to avoid habits that could discolor the brackets over the course of treatment.
Maintaining ceramic braces involves a few practical habits that help preserve the appearance of the brackets. Brushing after meals removes food particles that can lodge around the brackets and contribute to discoloration or enamel issues. Flossing daily, ideally with a floss threader or interdental brush, helps clean the areas between teeth that a standard toothbrush cannot reach effectively around fixed hardware. Patients seeking clear braces in Naperville, IL through Razi Orthodontics are also advised to be mindful of harder or stickier foods that can put excess pressure on ceramic brackets or pull at the bonding material.

The announcement matters because it expands the range of discreet orthodontic options for adults and older teens in the western suburbs of Chicago. For readers, it signals that fixed braces need not be highly visible, which could encourage more adults to seek treatment. For the industry, it highlights continued demand for aesthetic alternatives that do not rely on patient compliance. Razi Orthodontics operates two offices in DuPage County and provides orthodontic treatment options including clear ceramic braces for older teens and adults.
