REPLOID Group AG, an Austrian company specializing in insect-based upcycling of organic residues, has announced plans to execute a 1:15 stock split. The move is designed to make the company's shares more accessible and attractive, particularly for retail investors, by significantly reducing the price per share.
According to the company's announcement on August 17, 2026, the stock split will be proposed at the Annual General Meeting scheduled for September 14, 2026. If approved, the number of shares will increase from 110,881 to 1,663,215, with each no-par value share continuing to represent a proportionate amount of share capital of EUR 1.00.
Philip Pauer, CEO and founder of REPLOID, explained the rationale behind the decision: "REPLOID shares most recently traded at 1,700 euros. If we split today, the price would come in at roughly 113 euros. That's exactly our goal: to make REPLOID stock easier to trade and more attractive, particularly for retail investors."
The stock split is conditional on a separate resolution to increase share capital from company funds, without issuing new shares. This capital increase, from EUR 110,881 to EUR 1,663,215, will be executed by converting a portion of the unrestricted capital reserves, which were built up from the equity increase achieved during the 2025 fiscal year.
This strategic financial maneuver is expected to enhance the liquidity of REPLOID's shares on the Vienna Stock Exchange's direct market plus segment, where the company has been listed since July 2025 under the ticker symbol HRX5. The lower share price could broaden the investor base and potentially increase trading volume, which is often seen as a positive development for both the company and its shareholders.
REPLOID operates in the circular economy sector, offering modular and scalable insect-rearing plants called ReFarmUnits. These facilities utilize Black Soldier Fly larvae to process regional organic residues from the food industry. The resulting products include proteins and fats for animal feed, as well as premium organic fertilizer from insect frass. This approach provides an economically viable solution for efficient resource conservation.
The company was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Wels, Austria. With a global focus and a workforce of over 190 employees, REPLOID is positioning itself as a key player in sustainable waste management and alternative protein production.
Investors and market observers will be watching the upcoming Annual General Meeting closely, as the proposed stock split could mark a significant milestone in REPLOID's growth trajectory, potentially increasing its attractiveness to a wider range of investors.
