Sonepar and Klein Tools have announced a donation of $8,004 to the Bob Woodruff Foundation, a significant contribution aimed at supporting wounded veterans and their families. This donation is the result of a collaborative initiative where a portion of proceeds from the sale of custom Klein Tools pliers, engraved with the American flag, was allocated to the foundation. These limited-edition pliers are available exclusively through Sonepar company branches and websites.
Anne Marie Dougherty, CEO of the Bob Woodruff Foundation, praised the partnership, highlighting its role in funding critical services such as housing assistance, mental health care, and job training for veterans across America. The initiative, which began on Veterans Day in 2024, is set to continue annually, reinforcing the companies' appreciation for the military community.
Bill Mortimer, Director of Strategic Vendor Engagement for Sonepar, expressed pride in supporting the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the military families who have sacrificed so much for the country. This donation is part of Sonepar's broader commitment to the military community, including over 25 partnerships with military-focused organizations and participation in more than 300 veteran-focused recruiting events in the past two years.
Additionally, Sonepar's Military and Veterans Employee Resource Group (MERGE) has made significant contributions, including a $10,000 donation to the Bob Woodruff Foundation in 2024, further demonstrating the company's dedication to supporting veterans and their families.
