Swiss Medical Network Extends CHF 150 Million Credit Facility to April 2028

Swiss Medical Network SA, a subsidiary of AEVIS VICTORIA SA, has signed an amendment to extend its CHF 150 million syndicated credit facility with a consortium of nine Swiss banks, led by UBS Switzerland AG as arranger and agent. The facility’s maturity date, originally set for 25 April 2027, has been pushed to 25 April 2028, with an option to extend for a further year. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

The extension comes as Swiss Medical Network benefits from improved profitability and a reduction in net debt. Since 30 September 2026, the group has enjoyed a 100-basis-point reduction in the applicable margin, which is linked to its net debt/EBITDA ratio. This margin cut lowers borrowing costs and signals stronger financial health.

“The early extension of this facility by the entire banking syndicate confirms the banks’ confidence in Swiss Medical Network’s operational and financial trajectory,” said Michel Keusch, CFO of AEVIS. The unanimous support from all nine banks underscores the group’s credibility and its ability to secure favorable financing conditions.

The move is significant for the Swiss healthcare sector, where private clinic groups face rising costs and evolving patient needs. Swiss Medical Network, one of Switzerland’s two leading private clinic and hospital groups, operates 19 clinics and hospitals, 80 outpatient centres and 22 eye clinics across 16 cantons. It is also a pioneer in integrated care through its VIVA healthcare plan and regional care networks. For patients and partners, the extended facility provides continuity and supports the group’s capacity to invest in high-quality care.

AEVIS VICTORIA SA, listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange, holds a 76.3% stake in Swiss Medical Network Holding SA. Its portfolio also includes MRH Switzerland AG, a luxury hotel group, Infracore SA, a listed real estate company focused on healthcare infrastructure, and NESCENS SA, a brand dedicated to better aging. The extension of the credit facility strengthens AEVIS’s financial position and supports its long-term investment strategy in healthcare, hospitality and lifestyle, and infrastructure.

For industry observers, the early renewal by the entire syndicate is a vote of confidence in the Swiss private healthcare market. It may encourage other operators to review their capital structures and negotiate improved terms with lenders. The reduction in margin also highlights the benefits of deleveraging and operational efficiency, setting a benchmark for peers.

Swiss Medical Network’s network and financial stability are detailed on its website, www.swissmedical.net, while AEVIS VICTORIA SA’s broader investment strategy is outlined at www.aevis.com. The original release is available via www.newmediawire.com.

Overall, the extension provides Swiss Medical Network with financial headroom to navigate a competitive landscape and reinforces its position as a key player in Swiss healthcare. For readers, it signals stability in a sector that directly affects access to medical services, and for the industry, it sets a precedent for proactive balance-sheet management.
