WagerWire Launches Revolutionary Buying and Selling Feature for Fantasy Entries

WagerWire, a leading sports gaming marketplace technology company, has announced the launch of a groundbreaking feature allowing users to buy and sell daily fantasy Pick’em entries through its app, now available on iOS and Google Play stores. This milestone marks the first time fantasy players can legally trade their fantasy sports entries with ease.

The new feature enables WagerWire users to buy and sell RealTime Fantasy Sports (RTFS) entries on the app, with plans to include more fantasy operators in the near future. WagerWire's integration with RealTime Fantasy, announced in January 2024, allows users to trade their Pick’em lineups while they are still in progress, including during live games, directly on the RTFS platform. This innovative marketplace saw 12% of all DFS Pick’em lineups sold on the secondary market during the NFL playoffs.

According to WagerWire Co-Founder and CEO Zach Doctor, this launch represents a significant shift in the fantasy sports landscape. “This is a paradigm shifting moment for fantasy,” Doctor stated. “For the first time, there is a way to cash in on your lineups even if they go on to lose – by selling it to a friend or on the open market. The excitement is palpable.”

This new fantasy marketplace is a key addition to the expanding technology portfolio of WagerWire’s parent company, Wire Industries, Inc. The WagerWire app already boasts a variety of marketplace tools for sports betting and fantasy sports, including stat tracking, account syncing, bet value graph builders, and calculators. Additionally, social features in the app allow users to follow the betting activities of friends, influencers, and sharps.

Veteran RealTime Fantasy Sports user Braiden Payne expressed his enthusiasm for the new feature. “I’ve been playing fantasy for years, but being able to sell my DFS lineups is game-changing,” Payne said. “I’m also loving being able to buy and sell in-game and see the progress of my picks with live price suggestions. The RT marketplace in the WagerWire app takes an already great and easy-to-use experience to the next level.”

WagerWire has gained significant recognition in the industry, being shortlisted for two awards at SBC North America – Rising Star of the Year and Affiliate of the Year. Additionally, the company was nominated for EGR’s Rising Star of the Year and Hashtag Sport’s Best X Presence award. Founded in 2021, WagerWire made a splash with a high-profile seed round led by Miami Marlins co-owner Roger Ehrenberg, Eberg Capital, and NBA All-Star Richard Jefferson. The company is a licensed affiliate and media partner to top US sportsbooks including BetMGM, BetRivers, Caesars, FanDuel, Hard Rock Bet, and SuperBook. Over the past year, WagerWire content has amassed over 250 million views and has been featured in major publications such as the New York Post, USA Today, Bleacher Report, ESPN, Bloomberg, and CNBC.

WagerWire empowers fantasy players and bettors to take control of their actions, treating their fantasy lineups, contest entries, and sports bets as assets that can be traded at any time. WagerWire’s proprietary GLI-33 certified marketplace technology can be embedded directly into sportsbook apps and also powers the WagerWire app, serving as an aggregated marketplace for bets across partner sportsbooks. The WagerWire Media Network generates engaging daily sports and betting content “By Fans, For Fans.”
