The World Police Summit Awards is expanding its recognition of law enforcement excellence by introducing two new award categories for 2025: Best Use of Artificial Intelligence in Policing and Startups Innovation Award. These additions increase the total award categories to 12, signaling a strategic shift toward acknowledging technological advancements in global security.
The awards, which will be presented during the World Police Summit in Dubai from May 13 to 15, 2025, have experienced a significant 55% increase in nominations compared to the previous year. Professionals from law enforcement agencies worldwide are eligible to apply before March 31, 2025, with a rigorous selection process that narrows candidates to three finalists per category.
Captain Marwan Abdullah Al Mulla, Head of the World Police Summit Awards, emphasized the importance of recognizing innovation in policing. The new categories specifically aim to highlight artificial intelligence applications and startup innovations that can transform law enforcement strategies and capabilities.
Previous award recipients have represented diverse international law enforcement agencies, including organizations from Brazil, Italy, Spain, Canada, India, Qatar, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates.
