Luxury skincare brand Valmont announced a significant philanthropic initiative to support local artists devastated by recent Los Angeles wildfires. The Guillon family, owners of the Swiss cellular skincare brand, will donate $110,000 through their La Maison Valmont Beverly Hills boutique to help artists rebuild their creative practices.
The donation program, titled 'Rebuilding Through Art', will provide financial support to 11 carefully selected local artists. The funds will be generated directly from product sales and treatments at the Rodeo Drive boutique, which opened in July 2024.
Valmont's artist-in-residence, Marcos Lutyens, will collaborate with the Guillon family to identify and curate the list of artists who will receive support. Lutyens has also created an original illustration symbolizing the philanthropic effort, which will be displayed in the Beverly Hills boutique.
Didier Guillon, Valmont Chairman and Art Director, emphasized the importance of art during challenging times, stating that the initiative represents the brand's commitment to creativity, resilience, and community healing. This approach aligns with Valmont's core values, which include supporting the intersection of art and beauty.
The initiative builds upon the brand's existing artistic engagement through Foundation Valmont, established in 2015 to make art more accessible through international exhibitions. By supporting local artists impacted by wildfires, Valmont demonstrates a tangible commitment to cultural preservation and community support.
