Alsco Uniforms has been selected as the 2025 Clean Air Award recipient by the Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency for its comprehensive efforts to reduce air emissions and improve energy efficiency. The agency specifically highlighted several key sustainability initiatives implemented by Alsco Uniforms. These include upgrading industrial dryers to reduce natural gas consumption, replacing outdated heating and cooling units with energy-efficient models, implementing rigorous equipment maintenance practices, and optimizing delivery routes to maximize fuel efficiency.
Joey Kink, general manager of Spokane's Alsco Uniforms facility, emphasized the company's broader commitment to environmental stewardship. Beyond facility improvements, Alsco Uniforms has implemented strategies such as providing reusable products to reduce disposable waste, sourcing American-produced fabrics with longer life cycles, and collaborating with vendors who prioritize recycling and eco-friendly practices.
